Events in Pokémon Pokopia: How They Work and How to Catch Up If You Missed One

Published 6/12/2026

Pokopia events are limited-time windows that add exclusive Pokémon and habitats. Here's how they work, what to do if you missed one, and how Pokopia Companion tracks them.

Pokémon Pokopia runs occasional events that drop exclusive Pokémon and themed habitats into the game for a limited window. If you've played for a while you've probably noticed event-only entries in your Pokédex with numbers like E1, E2, E3, E4. This guide covers what those events actually are, how they show up in Pokopia Companion, and (importantly) what to do if you missed one.

What an event is

A Pokopia event is a time-boxed release with two parts:

  • Exclusive Pokémon: one or more species that are not catchable in the base game. Some are standalone (just that one species). Others are the start of an evolution line, in which case catching the first form during the event unlocks the rest by evolving.
  • Exclusive habitats: new habitat recipes themed around the event's Pokémon and flavour. These count toward your overall habitat total but live in their own bucket.

Events have a fixed start and end date. Once the window closes, the event Pokémon stop spawning. If you caught one in time you keep it forever, and if it has evolutions you can still complete the line. If you missed the window entirely, see "How to catch up" below.

How events show up in Pokopia Companion

When a new event or DLC is released, we will do our best to update the website/app as soon as possible. :)

How to catch up if you missed an event

Pokopia has two genuine workarounds for missed events. Both rely on the game's quirks rather than any hidden in-app shortcut.

1. Travel back in time with your Switch's date setting

The game reads the date from your Nintendo Switch's system clock to decide which events are active. If you set your Switch's date back into a past event's window, the game treats it as live again and the event Pokémon return to their spawns. Set the date in the Switch's System Settings, launch Pokopia, do your catching, then reset the date when you're done.

2. Visit other islands and 3D-print what you're missing

Pokopia lets you visit other players' islands. While you're there, take pictures of any items you spotted (including the event-specific items used by event habitats). Back on your own island, the camera roll lets you 3D-print the items you photographed.

This is the only way to obtain event habitat items if you don't have them and the event has ended. It does cost in-game materials per print, so plan visits around what you actually need rather than spamming pictures.

Watch for the next one

New events get announced ahead of the start date. Keep an eye on the News page in Pokopia Companion (or follow @PokopiaCompanion on Instagram) for the heads-up when a new event drops, plus a quick summary of what's in it.
